Full time in Redmond, WA. Worked in Microsoft EXP (Employee eXperience Platform) on People Skills, a Copilot agent that utilizes enterprise data to assist managers and employees with organization and upskilling. Created a DRAG (Distillation + RAG) fine-tuned base model. Trained chat completions were generated by a synthetic prompt pipeline, and o3-mini with two stages of information grounding. Those completions were then distilled to the base model, decreasing cost per token by 300% on average.
Barn Owl Technologies
20 hours weekly in Needham, MA. Prototyped and optimized zapper circuits for a startup, achieving a 46% reduction in battery use by measuring and optimizing component power consumption. Designed and implemented a camera system to monitor insect populations, utilizing machine learning for bug classification from captured images. Built a python application that interfaced with our PostgreSQL database and allowed for easy client interfacing.
Phoenix Robotics Lab
10 hours weekly in Needham, MA. Assisted in the development of an agricultural robot used to sustainably weed on no-till farms. Integrated the electrical subsystem centered around a NUC and Arduinos. Developed Python motion-planning framework that translates data coordinates to physical motion of robot's weeding arm. Team won $10,000 grand prize in the 2024 Farming Robotics Competition.
Olin College
Full time in Needham, MA. Supported multiple offices including the Student Affairs and Resources Office (StAR), the Office of Post Graduate Planning (PGP), and the Olin Library Office. Responsibilities included planning and marketing fall programming, updating reports/procedures, assisting with library projects, and serving as a Summer RA to support students over the summer.
